About the Role

As Engineering Manager, you will provide leadership, management, direction, and vision to engineers,

offshore contractors, platform suppliers and other specialists.

Responsibilities

• Driving the systems which support The Lancet and Cell Press, our premium brands; Society partners; and international journals.
• Managing vendor relationships : You will work with multiple vendors who provide software platforms and custom development services.
• Fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Developing a compelling technical strategy to support the goals of the product.
• Forming cross-functional and cross-disciplinary partnerships across the organization.
• Connecting external software platforms with internal services.

Requirements

• Able to demonstrate extensive experience in managing, developing and supporting software systems. Including people management experience.
• Demonstrate experience in project planning and delivery.
• Experience with understanding of modern software development methods.
• Have extensive budgeting and finance skills to drive projects through to completion
