job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAssist in maintaining employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Support onboarding and orientation programs for new hires. Help organize employee engagement initiatives and HR communications. Track and report data related to hiring, turnover, and other HR metrics. Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed. Assist in ensuring HR policies and practices are consistently applied. Help support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. High level of attention to detail and organizational ability. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Interest in manufacturing operations and workforce management. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative. Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. Sophomore or higher preferred. Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university program during the internship. Availability to work 20 hours per week. Prior coursework or experience in HR, recruiting, or office administration is preferred but not required.
Human Resources Intern Fall 2025
Tenneco Lansing is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Intern to support the Human Resources team at our manufacturing facility. This internship provides hands-on experience in a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and administrative support. The ideal candidate will gain exposure to the daily operations of HR in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on talent acquisition and workforce support.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Recruiting & Staffing
- Assist with posting job openings on internal and external job boards.
- Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
- Support pre-employment processes, including background check, drug screens, and onboarding documentation.
