Contract duration : 12+ months

Job Location : Hybrid in Santa Clara, CA 95050

Pay range : $54.00- $60.00 / hr on W2 basis

Job description : Sr. IT APPLICATION SYSTEMS ANALYST

The Sr. IT Application Systems Analyst position will be responsible for performing the analysis, design, enhancements, major deployments, upgrades, support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and user / role-based security maintenance for various IT systems supporting the Client

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :

Provide continual Enhancements to existing and new technologies

Work with Client business partners to implement new enhancements from the analysis to implementation phases, while ensuring that thorough testing occurs

Support business objectives and ensure alignment with existing and new solutions

Partner with Business stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology deployments

Create test plans / cases for enhancements, and coordinate and conduct user acceptance testing

Perform direct research on potential technology solutions in support of software procurement efforts

Respond to Customer Service Requests / Minor Enhancements as required

Partner with Project Management Office (PMO) Team and Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to serve as technical lead over business-critical projects

Act as liaison between the Customer and Third-Party Vendors to support and enhance COTS and SaaS (Cloud)-Based systems

Coordinate with other IT Service Towers to ensure application technical requirements are met

Provide Operational support for existing solutions

Receive Incidents relating to system issues and outages

Troubleshoot, interpret logs, document steps to reproduce software bugs, process problems or other issues which create application errors

Produce timely Incident reports documenting system downtime

Support identification of Root Cause Analysis

Monitor systems for issues such as quality, accessibility and work with departments to resolve

Develop and maintain technical and operational procedure and work instruction documentation

Provide On-Call support as needed

Work under the direction of the IT Business Application Services Manager for :

Resource Allocation and Prioritization

Regular updates through status updates, staff meetings, and face to face interaction

Benchmarking, analyzing, and making recommendations with supporting data for the improvement and growth of the environment

Ensuring application documentation and portfolio are comprehensive and kept up to date

Following Change Control Procedures

Staying current with the latest technologies

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, CIS, MIS
• Relevant work experience may substitute for required education.
• Minimum 5 Years supporting server and client / server-based IT systems running on Microsoft Windows Server and SQL
• Strong sense of customer / solution ownership, an overall drive for excellence, and a proven ability to manage assigned project tasks to successful completion
• Excellent customer service and communications skills along with ability to maintain productive team collaboration
• Ability to troubleshoot, interpret logs, document steps to reproduce software bugs, process problems or other issues which create application errors
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Does not require software development experience
• Able to work independently on tasks assigned

PREFERRED SKILLS

ITIL framework and SDLC methodologies

Understanding of client server technologies and relational database concepts desired
