Roles and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for developing plans, schedules, and budgets to meet contractual / project requirements for U.S. Army Material Fielding and Training events.
- Directly manage and supervise U.S. Army vehicle and systems Material Fielding and Training events; will supervise varied teams of mechanics, subject matter experts, training analyst / facilitators and logistic personnel.
Will supervise deprocessing of vehicles and systems; repair of vehicles to a 10 / 20 status, quality assurance, movement of vehicles, handoff to receiving units, Field Level Maintenance New Equipment Training (FLMNET), Operator New Equipment Training (OPNET), COSIS operator and maintainer training and Displaced Equipment Training (DET).
Shall be responsible for periodic reporting, inventory, status, location, repair parts required, and material shortages of equipment being fielded.
- Must be familiar with processes and requirements as defined in the Army Regulation 700-142; have a solid knowledge of Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-Army), Property Book accounting and PQDR / SDR reporting.
- Establish and define program plan requirements and performs in-depth analyses and studies to determine optimum program plans.
- Coordinate interdepartmental development of program plans. Interfaces with vendors and customers and performs extensive investigations as required.
- Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met.
- This position will be based in Sterling Heights, MI but requires a up to 25% or greater travel requirement to Continental US (CONUS) and Outside CONUS (OCONUS) locations.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in logistics or business administration or equivalent experience. 10 years’ experience in technical program management, planning and implementation, contract interpretation, budget development and administration of government projects.
In lieu of degree, 15 years of equivalent professional work experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Experience leading a team(s) and monitoring both daily and long-term activities on a project is required.
Has an above average knowledge and use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
Written / Speaking Communication : The selected applicant shall write and speech clearly and informatively. The selected applicant may edit work for spelling and grammar and use various writing styles to meet customer needs.
The selected applicant shall be comfortable speaking and presenting information and reports in both formal and informal meetings / briefings.
Applicant shall be physically capable of extended periods of standing, walking, and gaining access to, on and in a variety of military vehicles.
Must be comfortable in working in outdoor locations in a variety of weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications :
- Having recent knowledge of the U.S. Army Tank and Automotive Command (TACOM) organizational structure and tenant commands is preferred.
- Oversea travel experience is preferred.
