We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Assistant Controller to join our dynamic finance team. This critical role involves overseeing our subsidiaries and managing the financial and regulatory reporting processes for our broker-dealer operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial services accounting, broker-dealer accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial management.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the accounting operations of our subsidiaries, including control systems, transaction-processing operations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes of the broker dealer entity and associated subsidiary entities (acquired as part of a recent acquisition).
- Prepare and file all required financial and regulatory reports with FINRA and other regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Provide leadership and support to accounting staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement and high performance.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a broker-dealer environment.
- Previous experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and broker-dealer regulatory requirements.
- Preferred : Possession of the Series 27 Financial and Operations Principal (FINOPs) license, enabling the issuance of regulatory filings.
Or have a willingness to obtain the license.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Compensation :
HIRING SALARY RANGE : $150k+ (Actual salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Compensation package also includes generous, bonus, benefits and equity.
