As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) working in the medical / surgical unit, you will collaborate with RNs to provide high-quality patient care.
Your responsibilities will include administering oral and IV medications, performing trach care, dressing changes, and documenting patient assessments and care plans.
Additionally, you will assist with communication with physicians and coordinate patient care.
- Administer all medications and IV piggyback meds, excluding IV Push meds
- Document patient assessments and care plans as directed by RNs
- Communicate with physicians / APPs to receive orders and coordinate patient care
- Perform dressing changes, trach care, and NG tube care and feedings
- Assist with ostomy care and patient education / discharge instructions
