Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Observation Unit

Shift : Nights / 7p-7 : 30a, 12x3, 36hrs per week

Length : 13 Weeks

Every other weekend typically required

• Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler
• 8 rooms and 16 beds
• Ratio of 1 : 4; experience with 1 : 3 ratio preferred
• Float to Med / Surg and Tele
• Navy scrubs (not provided)
• Omnicell med system and Meditech documentation

RN for Observation Unit with 8 rooms and 16 beds. Ratio of 1 : 4; experience with 1 : 3 ratio preferred. TELE experience is REQUIRED.

Float to Med / Surg and Tele. Every other weekend typically required. Self-schedule with manager balance. Experience traveling is preferred, but will screen first timers with appropriate experience. Navy scrubs (not provided).

Omnicell med system and Meditech documentation. Provider support includes interpretation services, lift teams, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, rapid response teams, respiratory services, social services, and unit secretary.

Provider coverage includes Intensivist, NP, and Hospitalist.

2 years' experience REQUIRED. More for first time travelers.

Certifications REQUIRED : NIH, MAB, BLS, and ACLS (AHA only, no HeartCode)

• Skills / Experience REQUIRED : MS / Tele; Telemetry (HARD REQUIREMENT); Cardiac Telemetry; ER holding; Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias;
• Telemetry - on the unit and remote monitoring; Use of Rapid Response Teams; Titration of Insulin Drips; Feeding tube care and management;
• Pre / Post Hemodialysis Management; Renal Failure; Accessing Ports; BPA; Peripheral Line Care / Management; PICC line management;
• Starting IVs; Heparin Protocols; Manage Cardiac drips-no titration; Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration; Titrate Cardiac Drips : Titrate Vasoactive Drips;
• CVA; Surgical Drains; Care of Ventilated Patient; External CPAP / BiPAP; High Flow Nasal Cannula; Nasal Cannula; Oxygen Face Masks;

Non-invasive Airway Management; Tracheostomy Management; Isolation Precautions; Wound Care / Wound Vac

Skills / Experience Preferred : Arterial Line Management; Central Line Care / Management; Phlebotomy; Chest Tubes-Emerson / Pleur-evac
