Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a BI Cloud Engineer to support the FBI's ongoing data modernization program in the following locations : Chantilly, VA, Washington D.
C., Quantico, VA, and Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities of the BI Cloud Engineer :
- Work alongside our AWS Solutions Architect and Data Warehouse Engineer to transfer existing on-prem TIBCO WebFOCUS application to the AWS Cloud environment.
- Implement changes to objects and code to support cloud migration tasks.
- Work with Business Intelligence Client Server, Report Server, and Data Migrator.
- Collaborate with the AWS Solutions Architect, ETL, and BI developers to configure and implement existing on-prem data warehouse infrastructure to AWS.
- Design and deploy AWS Redshift DW solution to support data integration, transformation, reporting, and analytics around financial data.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal ETL / ELT (extraction, transformation, and loading) of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS services.
- Develop and maintain data management standards, and documentation of current data sources, raw data, data marts, transformations, and report specifications.
- Develop Lambda functions, Python code, and ETL SQL procedures to retrieve data from source systems to the AWS Redshift.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced Agile environment with fluid requirements and changing priorities.
Qualifications of the BI Cloud Engineer :
- Bachelors degree and 6+ years of related experience in data engineering and / or business intelligence development.
- Minimum Top Secret clearance.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working with TIBCO WebFOCUS (or similar Business Intelligence tool) Client Server.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with TIBCO WebFOCUS (or similar BI tool) Data Migrator.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Aurora PostgreSQL (or a relational DB, such as Oracle).
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with AWS Redshift.
- Understanding of core AWS services, uses, and AWS architecture best practices.
- Strong notion of security best practices (IAM, KMS, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) best practices.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, data scientists, subject matter experts, and developers.
- Experience working within an Agile / SAFe teaming environment with multiple vendors and stakeholders.
Compensation of the BI Cloud Engineer :
- Compensation : $120,000 - $155,000+ based on years of experience .
- Fully funded program - 3 years remaining.
