Job Title : Superintendent of Construction

Job Description

This role involves overseeing on-site construction activities for various commercial construction projects nationwide while actively engaging in hands-on carpentry work. The position requires travel and collaboration with project managers to ensure project goals are achieved within the specified timeline.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, labor, and materials on the construction site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project plans.
  • Perform basic carpentry tasks as needed, including framing, installation / repairs, Misc Metal work, finishing, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to ensure project goals are achieved within the specified timeline.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols on the construction site, actively participating in safety initiatives.
  • Provide on-site leadership, guidance, and support to the construction team.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a construction site supervisor with hands-on carpentry skills.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Proficient in various carpentry tasks, including framing, PEMB, light gauge metal framing, finishing, general carpentry, and repairs.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate on-site construction activities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications in carpentry or construction supervision are a plus.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks while working in a dynamic construction environment.

    • Work Environment

    This position involves 100% travel and offers a great travel package, company allowance / vehicle, 401k company match, and fully paid company paid benefits.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00 / yr.
