The Clinical Nurse II - Medical / Surgical Hospitalist provides compassionate and caring patient care, administers medications, performs treatments and procedures, and collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care.
- Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments and special tests
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests
- Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care rendered
- Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
- Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
- Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintains standards of professional nursing
