Senior Software Test Engineer - Clearance Required

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Test Engineer to join our team and lead our Software Test Services. The successful candidate will oversee the conception, specification, design, programming, documentation, testing, and bug fixing processes to ensure the creation and maintenance of high-quality applications, frameworks, and software components.

Additionally, the candidate will utilize software testing methodologies to validate and verify software behavior, providing an objective view of software quality for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conception, specification, design, and implementation of software testing strategies and frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define test plans, and architect solutions for software validation and verification.
• Utilize software testing methodologies to examine artifacts and behavior of software under test, ensuring validation and verification of software functionality and quality.
• Provide an objective, independent view of software quality to stakeholders to understand and mitigate risks associated with software implementation.
• Mentor junior test engineers and provide technical guidance and expertise to support their professional growth and development.
• Drive the adoption of software testing best practices within the organization, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and advocate for their adoption to enhance our software testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing.
• Strong background in software testing methodologies, including validation and verification techniques.
• Experience providing objective, independent views of software quality to stakeholders.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a track record of delivering high-quality software testing solutions.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments is a plus.

Target salary range : $102,000 - $180,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and / or certifications.
