We are seeking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at a large senior living community in Littleton, Colorado. Come join a team of dedicated, smart, and caring professionals as they work together to care for our seniors and provide them the lifestyle they deserve.

Cherrelyn Healthcare Center is a 178-bed Skilled Nursing Facility, serving the Denver-metro area since 1965.

Job Description

Out cooks prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations, as well as company standards. To be a successful cook, you will be quick and diligent and be able to follow instruction and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining a well-organized and efficient food service department
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of all basic food production skill sets with the ability to perform these error-free and meet the company quality standards
  • Prepares and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized manner

    • Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position.
  • Experience and / or knowledge of special diets, meal preparation for large groups preferred
  • Safe food handling techniques are required
  • Ability to read and understand recipes
  • Work in a team environment
  • Work flexible shifts
  • Handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and / or in writing.
