Job Summary :
The Senior Director of Manufacturing & Quality will serve as a key member of King Technology’s (KTI’s) leadership team. This leader will be responsible for driving a high-performance team culture, rooted in KTI’s core values.
Core accountabilities include all strategic and execution efforts on the annual and long-range plan for manufacturing operations activities including manufacturing performance, quality, compliance, systems, processes, and data.
This position will partner closely with the supply chain team to meet cost and delivery goals for KTI’s customers and consumers.
This leader will also collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to drive new product development, new technologies, cost reduction and sustaining engineering activities.
Essential Functions :
- Lead, manage and drive accountability across Manufacturing & Quality team, including coaching and development, and aligning roles / responsibilities / team structure
- Accountable for driving overall manufacturing performance, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost to meet customer and consumer needs, as measured by key operational metrics
- Lead long-term lean manufacturing strategy, execution and sustainment across internal and external teams, including leading new technology development, manufacturing capacity planning, and continuous improvement
- Develop and execute capital equipment strategy including budgeting, purchasing, sustainment and replacement
- Develop and implement quality management system and processes across all locations
- Drive systems & document control (SOP, BOM, ECM, Item Master) processes to meet operational needs
- Ensure compliance of applicable regulatory issues including, but not limited to : hazardous materials, EPA establishment registration and reporting, OSHA Right to Know requirements, and the like
- Collaborate with Product Management & Engineering on new product development, cost reduction, quality improvement, and sustaining engineering relating to manufacturing
- Other duties as required
Job Qualifications :
- BA / BS in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or other engineering
- 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing management, with a minimum of 5-years’ experience managing manufacturing operations in a plant
- Demonstrated success leading and implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, leveraging automation and vision systems;
and high-performance teams to execute and sustain
- Ability to understand and collaborate with all functions within company (R&D, Sales, Marketing, & Finance)
- Strong strategic planning and tactical decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal / written) required
- Strong leadership / management skills required
- Overnight travel up to 40%
