Position Summary
This role reports to the Senior EI&C EGS / AHJ and involves leading and supporting significant technical resolutions in electrical engineering.
The successful candidate will engage directly with engineering teams and clients on critical issues, providing expert judgment and innovative solutions in electrical engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct independent electrical work and lead studies across all electrical engineering areas.
- Oversee the development of specifications and procurement of complex electrical systems and equipment.
- Communicate technical issues and solutions to senior management.
- Mentor and develop less experienced team members.
- Lead cross-functional teams in resolving complex issues.
- Manage aspects of the Electrical Safety program and engage with key stakeholders to ensure compliance and safety standards.
This role requires relocation to the Richland, Washington office or job site as per business needs and includes a 9 / 80 work schedule with every other Friday off.
Qualifications and Skills
- BS in Electrical Engineering with 13 years of related experience or MS with 11 years.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Experience in a nuclear quality and safety environment is required.
- US Professional Engineer Registration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, VISIO, and other relevant software.
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA codes, ANSI / IEEE standards, and electrical design tools like ETAP, CAD 2D.
- Minimum five years of supervisory experience with excellent communication and leadership skills.
