The Challenge
We will be working with multiple departments in the company to transform the software landscape. We will be required and responsible for deeply understanding our existing customer environments, working with our customer facing teams to understand the customer challenges, working with solutions teams to navigate a transition to our new software platforms, ensuring scheduling and execution is flawlessly executed, and ensuring our customers and partners are satisfied with the entire experience.
As the Technical Project Manager, it is your responsibility to understand our process and the key players across the organization.
You will be the driver and the navigator of the project. You will be responsible for defining success criteria, managing expectations, and delivering positive outcomes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Learn the complex domain of On-Demand Packaging and how it can be leveraged to streamline our customers' shipping processes.
Develop a deep understanding of and empathy for our customers.
Understand and manage cross-group collaboration, dependencies, and risks to deliver on schedule, with world-class quality, and provide an experience that delights our customers.
The ability to drive collaboration across teams is essential to your success. You play a critical role in creating alignment across the projects you are involved in and making sure all players understand their roles and deliverables as well as communicating status up through leadership.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and keep them all moving forward is critical to the success of this project.
- Facilitate and guide consensus across multiple functional teams and groups.
- You are an excellent communicator. You provide honest and candid feedback while also seeking feedback from others.
- You define success and success metrics but are not afraid of missteps. You leverage your teams and stakeholders for knowledge and direction, and have no problem navigating any road bumps or blockages that arise, to keep the project on track.
- You are proactive about creating the conditions necessary for your team's success. When there is something needed for success you actively take steps to explore possible solutions.
- You create transparency and visibility into the projects you manage, and actively report out to the organization.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Travel to visit customers and vendors at their locations. Travel to Packsize HQ when needed (total travel around 25%, could be more, could be less)
