Job Description :
Feeding Friends Therapy Services is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing team and provide speech therapy services to children with feeding, swallowing, cognition, speech, and / or language challenges.
The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for the evaluation, development, implementation, and documentation of treatment plans for children with feeding, swallowing, cognition, speech, and / or language challenges.
Requirements :
- Master’s degree in speech pathology, psychology, social work, or related field of study; or Bachelor’s degree in speech pathology, psychology, or related field of study
- Current certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the American Speech-Language-Language Disorder Association (ASLDA) and the American Speech-Language Pathology Board (ASLBP)
- Preferred : 2+ years of experience working in pediatrics as and SLP.
Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive evaluations to children struggling with a wide range of feeding and swallowing, communication skills, language comprehension, speech fluency, articulation, and voice quality challenges.
- Provide comprehensive therapy to address patient needs in accordance with establish plan of care, established goals, and medical requirements / accommodations as needed.
- Develop and implement treatment plans using evidence based practice principles.
- Document all services provided using the patient management system provided by Feeding Friends Therapy Services. This system includes but is not limited to Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and / or Clinical Management Systems (CMSs).
- Participate in ongoing quality assurance reviews of all services provided.
- Provide timely progress reports during patient care.
- Educate caregivers regarding required support of patient throughout plan of care.
- Provide discharge requirements and recommendations for continued care post once therapy goals have been met.
