Responsibilities :
- Designbridges small structures and retainingwalls
- Performhydraulic modeling to size bridges overwaterways
- Designroadway approaches leading up to thebridges
- Prepareplans for bridges that meet applicable INDOT design specificationsand AASHTOpolicies / procedures
- Designsingle / multi span bridges / small structures using thefollowing :
o Steel girderplate
o Prestressedconcretegirder
o Reinforcedconcreteslab
o Box girderbeams
- Performbridge sizing structural design seismic analysis bridge plan andspecial provision development andestimating
- Supervise CADtechnicians
- Provideindepth fracture critical routine and scour critical bridgeinspections / loadratings
- Prepareinspectionreports
Requirements :
- BSin civil engineering with an emphasis on structures (either majoror 5courses)
- Knowledgeof prestressed concrete that was either learned through six monthsof work or a collegecourse
Salaryis commensurate withexperience.
