Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. has multiple openings for a Civil Engineering III to be based in San Antonio, TX.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Design tasks including establishing horizontal and vertical alignments for roadway geometry, developing traffic control plans, creating typical sections, designing pavement markings, ADA compliant sidewalks and crossings, and preparing miscellaneous details.
  • Develop exhibits, alignments, profiles, roadway construction plan sheets, temporary traffic control sheets, detail sheets, and other components of the plan set in accordance with project requirements and governing criteria.
  • Prepare project deliverables, such as cost estimate, schedule, and other front-end documents.
  • Use engineering CAD tools to perform 2D and 3D roadway modeling and analysis.
  • Perform technical quality reviews including documentation in project record in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing, interpret, and apply criteria or design standards in the design of roadway infrastructure projects.
  • May telecommute.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, and 4 years of experience in the job offered, or in an engineering related occupation. Position requires :

  • Microstation Geopak, OpenRoadsand AutoTurn;
  • Development of PS&E packages for municipal and state clients including the development of quantities and cost estimates;
  • Preparing engineering related calculations and developing drawings related to roadway design;
  • Understanding of requirements related to ADA-compliant sidewalk including crossings at intersections;
  • Design of active mobility facilities;
