The Director of Supply Chain Security is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain process within Darley.
This critical role ensures the security, integrity, and resilience of our supply chain, safeguarding against risks related to cyber threats, physical vulnerabilities, and compromised components.
As a key leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and government agencies to implement best practices and mitigate supply chain risks.

Requirements
Strategic Planning for Defense Contracts :
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies specifically tailored for defense contracts.
- Collaborate with government agencies and defense partners to align procurement, production, and distribution processes.
Compliance with Federal Regulations :
- Stay informed about federal regulations related to defense procurement, transportation, and logistics.
- Ensure the organization’s supply chain practices adhere to all applicable laws and guidelines, including FAR, DFARS, FASCSA, C-SCRM.
Policy Development :
- Develop and maintain supply chain security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and government regulations.
Supplier Relationships :
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with defense suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure suppliers meet both operational needs and federal requirements.
Risk Management :
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with defense contracts.
- Implement contingency plans to address supply disruptions or unforeseen events.
Training and Awareness :
- Educate employees and stakeholders on supply chain security best practices.
- Foster a security-conscious culture across Darley.
Supply Chain Performance Monitoring :
- Develop internal inspection and audit systems.
- Conduct assessments and share findings with stakeholders.
- Develop remediation plans to address any deficiencies.
Collaboration :
- Work closely with legal, procurement, and compliance teams.
- Engage with government agencies and industry partners to stay informed about emerging threats.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include professional certifications such as APICS CSCP - Supply Chain Management Certification.
Experience
- Significant experience in supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing and distribution.
- Demonstrated proficiency with government contracting regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS, FASCSA, C-SCRM).
Skills
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of US Government supply chain, industrial security, and related regulations.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Ability to develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with overall business goals.
- Understand Darley’s strategic goals, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Travel as needed.
