Position Description

We are seeking a motivated IT / DevOps Intern to join our team. As an IT / DevOps Intern, you will be responsible for supporting our development and operations teams in improving our software delivery process, internal systems, infrastructure automation, and overall productivity.

Core Responsibilities

• Assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI / CD pipelines
• Collaborating with developers to automate and streamline our operations and processes
• Monitoring system performance and implementing improvements
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues in the development, test, and production environments
• Supporting infrastructure as code initiatives using tools like Terraform
• Assisting with the implementation of security best practices in our systems
• Learning and working with various technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Cloudflare, Terraform, and Azure DevOps
• Working with our Azure Cloud Architect on various IT related tasks
• Support core internal systems including Office 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure DevOps
• Create, setup, maintain, and decommission promotional support mailboxes, as necessary
• Purchase, configure, maintain, and renew (as necessary) website domains for internal and client promotional use, including adding, updating, and removing DNS entries
• Purchase, configure, verify, maintain, and remove SSL certificates (as necessary)
• Perform data archiving and removal operations in accordance with company data retention policy
• Assist with documentation of IT processes and procedures

Qualifications of the IT / DevOps Intern :

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle utilizing both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools
• Interest in learning about DevOps principles and practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Demonstrates original thinking and makes an impact on overall team
