Job Description :

Soliant Education is currently seeking a passionate and experienced School Social Worker to join our team in Southfield, Michigan.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide critical support to students, helping them address emotional, social, and academic challenges while promoting a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
• Conduct assessments to identify students' social and emotional needs, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create appropriate support plans.
• Develop and implement intervention strategies to help students overe challenges that impact their academic success.
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and munity resources, ensuring that students have access to the services and support they need.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs (IEPs) for students requiring social and emotional support.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergency situations.
• Promote a positive school climate by facilitating workshops and programs that encourage social-emotional learning and conflict resolution.

Qualifications :

• Must hold a valid Michigan School Social Worker certification.
• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
• Previous experience working as a School Social Worker is preferred.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention strategies.
• Excellent munication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and their families.
