Position : Accounting Manager (Part Time)
Location : North Brunswick Township, NJ
Type : Contract
Salary : $35 to 40 / hr
Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a part-time, contract position in Township, NJ - 20-25 hours per week - ONSITE
This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in bookkeeping, accounting, or junior accounting roles who are looking to step up into a management position.
The position has the potential to transition to full-time within 6 to 12 months.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including overseeing bookkeeping activities, preparing financial statements, and managing accounts payable / receivable.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare month-end and year-end close processes.
- Provide guidance and support to accounting clerks and junior accountants.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and reporting.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for managing accounting functions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Assist with audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or junior accounting roles.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online is preferred.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to potentially transition to a full-time role within 6 to 12 months.
