We also offer onboarding, payroll, and HR direct support services.We’re currently looking for a Community Canvasser Lead to join our team to support and move forward crucial community projects through 2024 and beyond.
Position RequirementsAbility to work 40 plus hours per week, including early evenings. RequiredAbility to work weekends. RequiredExcellent listening skills and the ability to maintain a structured conversation when talking to canvassers.
Ability to work in a highly structured team environment.Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance to drive to different neighborhoods throughout the countyMust feel comfortable being in the field monitoring canvassers alone, and also in the early eveningsMust have a cell phone, computer, and internet to load data to perform work.
Ability and familiarity with downloading and using smartphone applications such as mapping, time clocks, data capture, and communicationsWillingness and ability to work safely in outdoor weather- heat, rain, coldStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCan quickly identify challenges and come up with possible solutions and workaroundsWillingness to learn and openness to feedback for improvementAbility to make changes and improvements in work practices based on collected metrics of previous workAbility to work entire shift without set breaksSome experience using an online databaseSpanish speaking a plusDuties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise and Monitor performance of targeted door-to-door canvassing efforts assigned to a team, pre-selected communities, and votersSupport Manager on educating community canvassers about the campaignTake canvasser attendance and distribute turf assignmentsStand in for Canvas Manager as neededAssist with Distribution of Materials & PPEParticipate in training and staff meetings, as assigned.
