Project Manager Job Duties -
Project management responsibilities include delivering projects on time within budget and scope. Project manager should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis.
The PM will interact with both Company internal resources and third party / vendor resources, as well as, coordinate activities across teams.
Functional Requirements : This position provides overall management of the contractor’s performance under this contract.
The Program Manager will be empowered by Contractor to make day-to-day decisions in support of this contract.
- Project Manager will serve as the primary contact point for both the Government’s COR and the Contractor’s employees. The Project Manager shall not work simultaneously as a contractor employee under any task order under the contract.
- Required Education : BA / BS degree in administrative, management, communications, or relevant business-related discipline.
- Required Experience : A minimum of 10 years of program management experience.
Responsibilities -
- Develop / Maintain a detailed project plan to track progress
- Develop / Maintain weekly status summary presentation / report to present to Stakeholders and Project Team on a regular basis
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Manage a team that coordinates and executes projects for public affairs, congressional affairs, visual information and multimedia, and technical library / archive, aligning with the organization’s mission and goals, providing training and development to maintain skills and follow industry standards
Requirements
- BS Degree in Business or Science
- Proven working experience as a project manager in the information technology sector
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- PMP certification is a plus
Must be able to pass applicable background investigation.
