Job Title : Part-Time Caregiver
Location : Thousand Oaks, CA
Hours : Monday through Friday, 9 : 00 AM - 2 : 00 PM
Job Description :
Friends and Family Home Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable part-time caregiver to provide personalized care for a sweet elderly client in Thousand Oaks.
This position is perfect for someone who is dedicated, dependable, and has a genuine passion for helping others. The client has experienced a high turnover in caregivers, so we're looking for someone who can offer stability and consistent support.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Ensure medication is taken as prescribed
- Light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide mobility assistance, including walking and exercise routines
- Accompany the client to appointments or errands as needed
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field
- Reliable transportation (vehicle required)
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Must be able to pass a background check and TB test
- Completion of the caregiver training course (or willingness to complete upon hire)
- Must be registered or willing to register with the California Department of Social Services
