We are seeking Haitian Creole Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Haitian Creole is a core USCIS demand language, critical for asylum and immigration cases.
Responsibilities
Provide real-time Haitian Creole English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.Interpret in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism.Maintain strict confidentiality in line with USCIS / DHS compliance standards.Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent / surge requests.Participate in required training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in Haitian Creole and English.2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, healthcare, or government preferred).Familiarity with interpreter ethics and confidentiality standards (NCIHC, ATA, RID).Excellent verbal communication and cultural competency.Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3 / Tier 5 federal clearance.Compensation & Benefits
