Opto/Mechanical Technician - 2nd Shift

A Day in Your Life at MKS :

As an Opto / Mechanical Technician I at Integrated Solution Business (ISB), you will be responsible for the advanced assembly of optical systems for lasers, laser radars and electro-optical sensors and instruments.

You will make an impact by :

• Auditing 1-2 work order kits from warehouse to confirm pieces and part numbers.
• Prepare subassembly components.
• Follow written procedures or engineering drawings developed by engineers and suggest improvements to optimize production.
• Assemble and debug systems incorporating optical, mechanical, and electronic components.
• Test each level of assembly (4-5 processes) at the system level using various laboratory instruments (i.e. interferometers, Zygo, etc.)

Skills you bring :

• 0-2 years of related experience for a Level 1 Technician, 2-3 years of related experience for a Level 2 Technician.
• The ability to read engineering drawings
• The ability to use measurement instruments (interferometer, Zygo) preferred.
• Experience entering data into Microsoft Excel.
• The ability to speak, read, and write in English .

Preferred Skills :

Completion of high school, vocational program, or equivalent is preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions :

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform activities such as sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
• Frequently position self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level

Compensation and Benefits :

HourlyPay Range : 14.81 - 27.50 perhour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.

At MKS, it is nottypical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus : This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS or as applicable .
