Our client, a manufacturing and distributing company is looking to hire a Customer Service Representative for their location in Santa Paula, CA.
The ideal candidate would need to be experienced in resolving customer issues (complaints, quality issues, pricing questions, etc.
Responsibilities include communicating order change requests from customers to manufacturing and reporting back to customers.
The Day-to-Day :
- Present a professional image to customers at all times
- Enter and update customer orders
- Provide order status information, accurate lead time, and inventory information to customers.
- Manage blanket orders and safety stock for customers.
- Present price, credit, and terms in accordance with standard procedures
- Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, and add-on sales.
- Enter a request for quote (RFQ) and advise the Manufacturing Engineer of RFQ.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Must be able to convert English to metric units and vice versa.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer requests for quotes, simple engineering drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Have the ability to be outspoken to suggest improvements and act as a team builder for Customer Service and across other departments.
- Must be able to estimate yields from raw material sheets, while being able to adapt to changes in workloads and demands.
- Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
Have honesty, integrity, discipline, attention to detail, and perseverance are required.
Pay Rate / Shifts :
- $17.00 to $19.00 / hr
- Monday to Friday
- 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM
