The beautiful restaurants at Emerald Heights, are the highlight of the campus. We are seeking Servers with a positive attitude and love for hospitality.

We are pretty flexible with your schedule and have several different full-time shifts to choose from. The Independent Dining Room Server is responsible for table service in the residential dining rooms.

Emerald Heights offers competitive wages based on experience. Full time and Part time Available.

$18.50 - $21.00 per hour

Benefits and Vacation based on the number of hours you work) Primary Responsibilities :

• Provides residents and guest with superior customer service.
• Takes residents’ and guests’ food orders, places food orders and servers requested items

graciously with courtesy.

• Answers residents’ and guests’ menu questions.
• Maintains safe and sanitary conditions for dining rooms and staff work stations.
• Performs cleaning assignments.
• Sets and clears dining room tables. Maintains work stations.
• Follows proper food handling techniques and maintain standards of quality for all dining

areas.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience :

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
• Courteous, gracious, and tactful. Pleasant, cheerful and service-oriented.
• Genuine interest in working with older adults.
• Ability to work well with others; team-oriented.

• Available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Excellent English communications skills both verbal and written.

Physical Demand :

• Stands and walks the majority of the working shift.
• Stoop, bend, and stretch intermittently during work day.
• Lift up to 30 pounds.
• Carry up to 30 pounds.
• Pull and push food carts.
• Balance trays and dishes.
• Grasp plates, utensils and trays occasionally.
• Hear and speak clearly.

Working Conditions :

• Exposure to blood borne pathogens : Level III.
• Work environment is main dining room, kitchen and dining room manager’s office area.
• May be exposed to slippery floors, hot equipment and food, strong odors.
• May be exposed to heat and noise.
• May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, etc.
