LHH has partnered with a well-established manufacturing company in North Dallas, TX who is hiring for a Cost Analyst. This is a temp-to-hire position offers hybrid flexibility.
This role will pay $70-85K annually, depending on experience. Apply below if your background meets the criteria below!
Primary Functions :
- Cost inventory timely and accurately at the end of each month
- Assist with month end close processes, journal entries, and reconciling inventory & operations related accounts
- Evaluate variances related to manufacturing and operations and provide insights
- Analyze inventory losses and understand their root cause
- Understand raw material and finished good costing methodology, drivers, and change impacts
- Understand and maintain conversion cost drivers and trends
- Review inventory adjustments for raw materials and finished goods, research discrepancies and abnormalities
- Reconcile parts inventory and communicate with needed parties to adjust discrepancies
- Assist in budgeting for raw material expenses
- Aid in the collection and review of conversion costs
- Provide reporting and data pertaining to inventory, cost of goods manufactured, and cost of goods sold
- Assist in maintaining the fixed asset
Requirements / Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other technical field from an accredited college
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
- Minimum of two years of work experience in accounting or finance role
- Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, experienced with VBA / macros
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
