Job Title : Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Job Specialty : Labor and Delivery / Post-Partum RN Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12 Hours Day / Evening / Night (Rotating) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 3 years License : Active RN License Certifications : BLS, NRP & EFM (certified every 2 years), ACLS preferred Must-Have : Experience in labor & delivery, postpartum, circulate, and newborn care Job Description : Work within a 25-bed Labor & Delivery Unit including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, 2 Operating Rooms, 2 Antepartum Rooms, and Recovery Rooms.
- Provide patient care with a ratio of L&D 1 : 2-3 for evaluations and 1 : 1 for active labor, magnesium infusion, or epidural administration.
- Postpartum care with a patient ratio of 1 : 3-4.- Manage a diverse patient population.- Chart patient information using the EPIC system.
- Handle rotating shifts with one night on call every other weekend.- Floatation is not required within the unit.
