Widely recognized as influential thought-leaders, the CIB Practice draws on a deep knowledge of our clients' businesses and our own in-depth industry research to develop sustainable strategies for our clients in Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Corporate &mercial Banking and with Capital Markets Infrastructure providers and technology firms.

Role

Engagement Managers serve as the primary contact point for senior client executives and Oliver Wyman consultants staffed on client engagements.

While specific responsibilities will vary based on previous experience the ideal candidate will have the following :

  • Leading teams of consultants on a wide range of Corporate & Institutional Banking-related topics. This typically includes driving the day-to-day direction of the project;
  • managing the analytical and qualitative problem-solving process; directing the team's primary and secondary research; creatively tackling information limitations;

and surfacing insights

  • Synthesizing findings into written presentations and presenting these to clients and other stakeholders with the Partner team
  • Overseeing and guiding the consulting team as they develop hypotheses, review client information and conduct client interviews, derive insights, and produce deliverables
  • Supporting Partners in project execution through excellent project management, including work planning, workflow management, and coaching / developing more junior team members
  • Managing client relationships and networks, presenting to senior audiences, and working day-to-day with senior and mid-level clients
  • Building relationships in the industry, with clients as well as through industry forums
  • Supporting a subset of Oliver Wyman's global industry platforms as key members of our specialized teams
  • Effectivelymunicating issues and solutions in formal and informal settings, through written and verbalmunication

Desired Skills and Experience

Engagement Managers serve as the primary contact point for senior client executives and Oliver Wyman consultants staffed on client engagements.

While specific responsibilities will vary based on previous experience the ideal candidate will have the following :

7+ years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier consulting firm, and / or in a CIB-related business ( wholesale banking;

market infrastructure; financial technology; financial services private capital), or with a financial services focusedernment and supervisory authority

  • Experience in and knowledge of topics in capital markets, investment banking,mercial & corporate banking, wealth and asset management, market infrastructure or alternative investments
  • Knowledge of changes in financial services regulation and other key industry trends
  • Track record of leading and managing teams, and delivering against tight deadlines in fast-paced, demanding environments
  • Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills
  • Outstanding written and oralmunication skills in both formal and informal settings
  • Excellent relationship building skills with clients of all levels
  • A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team

The applicable base salary range for this role is $225K - $240K.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education.

Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
