About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Emergency Department Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 19 : 00-07 : 00 Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years experience in a hospital setting required License : Must have an active compact license Certifications : - Basic Life Support (BLS)- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) within 30 days Must-Have : 2-3 years of Emergency Department experience- Ability to perform procedures such as Moderate Sedation, Central Line placement, Chest tube placement, IV insertion, Lab Draw, POC testing, EKGs, and Respiratory Treatments Job Description : Work in a free-standing emergency room with 19 beds, 6 hall spaces, and 6 sub-waiting rooms- Maintain patient ratios of 1 : 5- Collaborate with unit secretaries, emergency department techs, AEMTs, and paramedics- Operate equipment including GE Monitors, Lucas 3, Glidescope, EV 1000, and Level 1 infuser- Document using the Meditech system- Participate in a weekend / holiday rotation schedule- Engage in patient experience initiatives, such as whiteboard usage and keeping patients and families informed- Adhere to the dress code of dark blue scrubs- Contribute to a team recognized for stroke certification, cath lab, and trauma level 3 distinction
