Music Instructor (part-time) [2024-25]

Education & Skills Bachelor's degree in music from accredited college / university; Master's degree is a plus One or more years experience in teaching musical instrument performance for specific instrument Or, equiva lent combination of education and experience Must be a fluent player of the specific musical instrument which will be taught Experience Should be experienced in teaching students with a broad range of abilities and backgrounds in a private setting Should have a strong classical background Must have a minimum of five (5) years playing as a musician and one (1) or more years as a teacher for the specific instrument Abilities Upbeat, positive attitude with good communication and observational skills Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing using English;

bilingual skills are a plus Must be able to teach music theory concepts effectively to students Must have an advanced understanding of music theory and technique relevant to the primary instrument Effectively manage time and have excellent organizational skills to keep students on task Ability to communicate effectively with parents of young students Other : Physical abilities : Ability to sit / stand for periods of time with good hearing and eyesight Successful background check, reference checking, and drug screening clearance Acknowledgment and agreement of GAC’s Statement of Faith and Community Covenant Perks and Benefits : GAC offers competitive salary and benefits for part-time employees including : All-inclusive dining program, onsite fitness center, retirement plan, and a Christian community of innovative, engaged individuals.
