$19.00 to $29.00 an hour plus a 10% shift differential

Job Summary :
Position is responsible for producing steel rule die-cut products for various customers while ensuring that fabricated parts are within customer specification and meets the GMN established quality, yield, scrap, and delivery requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Receive production work order / job assignment from supervisor, area manager or via production process work flow. Read the job ticket to ensure the needed hardware and materials are available to meet customer specifications.
- Inspect and confirm that the equipment to be worked on is able to meet the job / production requirements; ensuring that it is operating at satisfactory or higher tolerances and has had regular maintenance performed.
- Ensure that proper safety precautions are followed within the safety guidelines by reviewing the Job Hazard Assessments, safety features of the equipment;
and by donning up-to-date and appropriate Personal Protection Equipment; and adhering to all safety requirements.
- During the job set-up, obtain supervisor’s approval before production run as the method to determine that the operation, material, and equipment is readied and the job can be started.
- Visually inspect the parts frequently for any discrepancies from job specification during the production run at a frequency and quality outlined on the job ticket.
- Upon completion of the production run, tabulate the amount of parts produced and document any problems that occurred for review by the supervisor of the area.
Make any recommendations that are believed needed to increase quality, improve labor required, and reduce scrap rates on future runs of that or other products using the same machine or process(es).
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience reading blueprints preferred

- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all times
- Proficient with MS Office software and use of a PC
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Good math and analytical skills
- Good decision making skills
- Ability to plan and organize work activities with a focus on efficiency.
