  • Location : Albany, GA 31701 – Georgia nursing jobs\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1840 - $1980\n
  • Assignment Length : 17 weeks (October 8, 2025 – February 4, 2026)\n
  • Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 45 PM – 6 : 45 AM)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed\n
  • Healthcare Setting : Acute care, Labor & Delivery Unit\n
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend\n
  • Floating : As needed to post-partum unit\n
  • Orientation : 2 floor-specific shifts\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia or compact state\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience (travel RN experience required)\n
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications\n
  • Intermediate or higher Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification\n
  • Proven experience with high-risk and routine obstetric (OB) patients\n
  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred\n
  • No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required\n

    • \n\nL&D RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit\n
  • Monitor and assess patients using OB Trace and follow AWHONN staffing ratios\n
  • Assist with high-risk deliveries, c-sections, cerclages, tubals, and routine OB procedures\n
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, OB hospitalists, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team\n
  • Float to post-partum unit as needed to support patient care\n
  • Participate in rotating holiday and weekend schedules\n
  • Accurately document nursing care and interventions in Meditech 6.1 EMR\n
  • Promote a baby-friendly hospital environment and work closely with lactation consultants\n
