The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks Infectious Disease candidates for the position of Assistant / Associate / Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, depending upon experience.
This is a faculty position, as such requires providing clinical care, teaching medical students and residents, and participating in research and scholarly activities.

Position Summary
Provide clinical care to patients admitted to Children's Hospital of Illinois and ambulatory clinics. Participate in teaching medical students and residents, and scholarly activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services (inpatient and outpatient).
- Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and other health professionals.
- Conduct clinical and / or translational research in the field of Pediatric Infectious Disease.
- Participate in infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship committees.
- Provide phone consultations for other hospitals and Pediatric offices in Illinois.
- Provide guidance for community outbreaks (measles and tuberculosis).
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD / DO degree or equivalent
- BC / BE in Pediatric Infectious Disease
- Will hold or eligible for an Illinois physician license

There are significant opportunities for developing clinical and translational research projects in pediatric infectious diseases.
The Department has a well-established research infrastructure to foster research in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in pediatrics.
