Job Title : Project Accountant

SUMMARY :
Responsible for managing the billing, subcontractor, and project payable processes for various projects. Tracks the financial progress through reporting and analysis of financial data in accordance with company and client contractual and compliance guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Technical :
- Attends turn-over meetings for all assigned new jobs.
- Sets up and maintains a separate electronic network Project Folder for each assigned job, filing all relevant documents.
- Inputs contract information and budgets into ComputerEase.
- Prepares project billing worksheets and generates AIA billings to owners.
- Reviews and approves job-related check requests.
- Processes all accounts payable related to job-related invoices.
- Prepares the Project Accountant Checklist on a weekly basis.
- Attends monthly project review and close-out meetings.
- Works on special accounting projects as assigned.
Communication :
- Effectively communicates with Project Executive, Project Manager, and Project Coordinator to follow up on outstanding issues.
- Provides timely and specific feedback to upper management.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS :

- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and ComputerEase.
- Knowledge of Procore is a plus.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
Associate degree; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2-3 years or more related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
