Job Title : Production Engineer
Location : Dayton, Nevada
Salary : $70-85K with performance-based bonuses
Job Summary for the Production Engineer : The Production Engineer will play a vital role in designing and developing mechanical systems and components.
Responsibilities include creating accurate technical drawings, plans, and models using CAD software, as well as documenting, designing, and enhancing manufacturing processes for current and future products.
Job Responsibilities of the Production Engineer :
- Utilize CAD software such as OnShape and Solidworks to create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and part designs.
- Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and technical documentation to produce accurate and precise drawings.
- Ensure compliance with mechanical design and drafting standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Transform conceptual models into practical and manufacturable product drawings.
- Attend and coordinate design reviews to resolve potential issues related to manufacturability, assembly, and performance.
- Thoroughly document existing manufacturing processes, including workflow, equipment, and time cycles.
- Improve existing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
- Design and establish efficient and scalable manufacturing processes for upcoming products.
- Maintain processes, forms, and documentation in compliance with ISO 9000 requirements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and ECOs.
- Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and implementation.
- Implement lean methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Engage employees in continuous improvement initiatives to foster a culture of development.
- Lead trainings to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions collaboratively.
Education & Experience for the Production Engineer :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field required.
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with assembly processes, automation, and 3D printing.
- Experience with lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement initiatives.
