Job Description
The Ceded Re Operations Integration Business Analyst will report to the Ceded Re Operations Solutions Director and will be part of a team that will oversee the creation and provide ongoing oversight of the team's processes, drive data analytics to support the business, and design / provide support to operational areas for system enhancement development, testing, training, and production implementation.
Responsibilities include :
- Policy and Claims system migration program oversight and planning, requirements support, test planning & execution, and implementation change management
- SAP (FSRI, FSCD, GL and BOBj) solution designer and implementation management, including requirements creation, design support, test planning & execution, and implementation change management
- Ceded Re PMO; provide PMO support across the entire Ceded Re Team, including preparing for executive meetings, status, and governance reporting, etc.
and support the engagement with Corporate PMO which includes project planning, prioritization, and scheduling for the Ceded Re Team.
Support / partner with functional teams (i.e., Finance, IT, Operations, Underwriting, etc.) to develop and implement new processes and applications to support changing business requirements;
this includes process redesign, process flows, procedures, training, etc.
- Support the IT governance and oversight protocols for the systems / applications owned by the Ceded Reinsurance organization. This includes,
- Overseeing the application / system change management process
- Development and enhancement prioritization process
- System testing for enhancements and defects
- IT ticket management and ticket management process support
- Project coordination; ensure projects are delivered on time and with the right quality and level of detail. This includes creating all related project artifacts, such as project charters, test plans, etc.
- Business Analysis; design process enhancements, research & document business issues, develop business requirements, create test case documentation, and training / procedural materials.
- Data analysis and validation to support system enhancements and process improvements for the team's insurance / reinsurance processes
- Design and develop data analysis tools and reporting solutions to support the business processes in partnership with IT
- Design and implement process controls which meet IAD and SOX control standards.
- Design, implement and own operational business processes which support the Ceded Reinsurance Team, for example, MS Access reporting solutions, operational controls, etc.
Desired Skills & Experience :
- Minimum 7 years of experience with business analysis and controls & compliance in Financial services, accounting, treasury, insurance, or reinsurance industry
- MS Access and SQL expertise
- Data analysis and reconciliation skills
- Experience working with IT in a large corporate setting
- Experience supporting and implementing changes across enterprise wide systems
- Well versed in the MS Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Flexible; able to manage in an environment with shifting priorities
- Excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of the company
- Able to work in fast paced, dynamic environment
Salary Range : $90,000- $130,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
