Job Details
Evaluate and treat physician-referred patients by organizing and conducting physical therapy programs. Evaluate physical dysfunction or disability, plan and implement specific treatment programs.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team.
Responsibilities :
- Assessment, treatment and patient care responsibilities are delivered with knowledge of patient growth and development and are appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
- Interview patients to evaluate physical dysfunction or disability, plan and implement specific treatment programs according to the principles and practices of physical therapy.
- Provide treatment of patients in accordance with departmental standards of operation while observing specially indicated precautions.
- Observe physician's treatment order including rehabilitation goal and recognize the limitations of treatment and the responsibilities for which he or she is capable, based on experience, education, and training.
Requirements : Education :
Education :
Minimum Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy. DPT preferred.
Licensure / Certification :
- New York State PT license and registration or valid temporary license.
- BLS certification.
Skills :
Physical therapist must be able to evaluate and provide treatment interventions to patients. Must be able to work in a fast paced department.
Positions requires ability to accurately and completely document in a timely manner utilizing the electronic medical record system EPIC.
Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
Salary Range
USD - USD / Hr.
