PRIMARY PURPOSE :
Responsible for maintenance and repairs of district electrical systems
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education and Experience :
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited
- Must have valid State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications and technical Five years' commercial experience required.
- Five years' electrical maintenance experience required
- Must have valid Texas Driver's License and have a satisfactory driving record
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
- Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to work at heights up to 50 feet with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to work under limited supervision
- Responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems for AISD facilities
- Maintains assigned vehicle, equipment, and tools to ensure safe operating condition
- Coordinates with Electrical Foremen and other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders
- Inspects electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition
- Identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance
- Informs personnel regarding procedures and / or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions
- Other duties as assigned
Equipment Used :
All of the following associated with the electrical trade, but not limited to : power tools i.e.; drill saws, hammer drills, pneumatic and electric man lifts, scaffold ladders, basic hand tools, electronic test equipment, trenchers.
Environment :
- Will work in, under, around, outside of all AISD facilities
- Work will be done within AISD zone concepts.
- Employee will be exposed to all atmosphere found in this region of Texas.
- Working in trenches may be required.
