Are you looking for an opportunity to impact a diverse community by ensuring an inclusive, positive work culture? Our client, Carmel Clay Public Library, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their leadership team.

This role offers the chance to lead HR functions in a way that enhances the library’s mission of inspiring lifelong discovery, facilitating collaboration, and connecting people with resources.

BENEFITS Base salary commensurate with experience Competitive benefits package Paid time off Opportunities for professional development and leadership coaching Inclusive and welcoming work environment RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic HR Leadership : Serve as a strategic advisor to the leadership team and Board of Directors.

Provide guidance on budget, policy, employee relations, and total rewards, and develop HR processes, procedures, and policies.

Employee Relations and Performance Management : Lead the performance review process, coach managers on leadership development, employee relations, and conflict resolution, and promote a positive organizational culture.

Total Rewards and Benefits Management : Work with benefits brokers to maintain a competitive benefits package, manage open enrollments, annual compensation reviews, and workers' compensation processes.

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding : Manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes while assisting managers in developing compliant and successful interviewing skills.

HRIS and Compliance : Maintain the HRIS system, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and manage payroll and Leave of Absence processes.

Support of Library Strategy and Values : Uphold the library’s mission to create welcoming places, provide excellent customer service, and support users' evolving needs in a diverse and inclusive environment.

QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in management, HR, business, or a related field from an accredited institution Minimum of 5 years of experience as a human resources generalist, including 3 years of leading an HR function Expertise in HR compliance, coaching, and developing leaders Experience processing payroll (ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus) Experience working with a Board of Directors, preferably in a public or nonprofit organization SHRM certification preferred Strong business acumen, effective communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Our client is committed to providing an environment free from discrimination or harassment and values diversity in its workforce. #IND Powered by JazzHR
