We are in search of a Network Manager to join our team located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The role primarily revolves around maintaining the network and server infrastructure through regular upkeep, configurations, and upgrades.

The Network Manager will also be responsible for supporting business-critical applications by collaborating with both internal team members and external vendors.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain IT systems including firewalls, switches, routers, access points, servers, antivirus, email filtering, and miscellaneous software with a focus on business value, security, and availability.
• Regularly review and apply relevant patches and configurations to ensure systems are secure and perform optimally.
• Collaborate with team members and managers in planning network and server infrastructure lifecycle, establishing a roadmap for upgrades or replacements as necessary.
• Monitor systems for availability, performance, and security.
• Develop, document, and maintain procedures and system documentation.
• Stay connected and updated on new technology releases and technical innovations, recommending actions for our infrastructure.
• Support the IT Director in training junior team members through collaboration on projects.
• Participate in IT planning and budgeting.
• Identify needs proactively, evaluate and implement technology solutions to solve business problems, reduce risk and increase employee efficiency.
• Manage projects effectively, delivering them as per agreed upon scope, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborate with and / or manage vendors as needed; provide input on vendor selection; select vendors where appropriate.
• Provide technical support for onsite and remote end users at multiple sites, both on infrastructure and applications.
• Respond promptly to outages and incidents in a timely fashion, including outside business hours.
• Work with internal team members and vendors to resolve business applications bugs / issues in a timely manner.
• Track tickets and incidents in ticketing system as defined by IT procedures.
• Track and report on open business applications issues on a regular basis.
• Proven experience in a Network Manager role or similar
• Expertise in Cisco Routers and Cisco Technologies
• Proficiency in Citrix Technologies and Cloud Technologies
• Solid understanding of Database systems and Active Directory
• Familiarity with Backup Technologies and Computer Hardware
• Experience in Configuration Management
• Ability to manage and negotiate Contracts
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Relevant certification in IT and network management would be advantageous.
