Job Description : Assistant General Manager
Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant General Manager for our Asian-themed restaurant located inside a boutique hotel.
This is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for Asian cuisine.
As the Assistant General Manager, you will assist in overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including managing staff, maintaining customer satisfaction, and maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the General Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant
- Manage and train front-of-house and back-of-house staff
- Ensure efficient service and high-quality food standards are maintained at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Create weekly schedules for staff to ensure proper coverage during operating hours
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a timely manner with professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant according to health codes
- Collaborate with other departments within the hotel to ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to communicate updates, address issues, and provide feedback
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or food industry
- Knowledge of Asian cuisine and culture preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets while maintaining high-quality standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems
