Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Location : Knoxville, TN 37923 (Tennessee nursing jobs) Unit : Labor & Delivery, LDRP Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 2, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (18 : 45 - 07 : 15) Hours per Week : 36 On-Call : 2 shifts per 6-week schedule period Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month Orientation : 24 hours Patient Ratios : 1 : 2 (labor), 1 : 8 (postpartum / couplets) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,880 - $2,020 Important Compliance Notes : Requests for time off during major holidays will not be accommodated, as per facility policy. A 75-mile local radius rule applies. Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility may be subject to a different pay rate. Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (Tennessee nursing license) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nursing experience Previous travel nursing experience required Certifications : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, NIHSS Experience with Cerner charting system preferred Ability to float as needed per facility policy Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Certifications and licensure must be valid for at least 45 days after the assignment start date Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns in a Level One Labor & Delivery unit Perform high-risk antepartum care, triage obstetrical patients, and assist with high-risk deliveries Circulate and recover C-section patients Utilize and calibrate intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC) Administer medications including anticoagulants, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC) Conduct sterile vaginal exams and adhere to isolation precautions / PPE protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy Participate in self-scheduling and comply with facility policies regarding floating, orientation, and ongoing education modules Apply now to join our healthcare team for this travel nursing job in Knoxville, Tennessee!
