Anonprofit organization is seeking to hire an Accounting Manager. Thisperson does not need to have previous managerial experience.
Inthis seat you will start out mostly owning monthend close andoverseeing the AP / AR ledgers. Down the road you will oversee 23operational accountants.
The ideal candidate has nonprofit industryexperience has 3 years of relevant accounting experience and hasideally used Solomon and / or Dynamics accounting software (highlypreferred but notrequired).
Duties :
- ProcessPrevailing Wage Payroll throughADP
- ProcessCertified Payroll reports for Govtprojects
- Manageall Account Receivables and AccountPayables
- ProcessMonthly AIA requisitions with GovernmentAuthorities
- MonthlyBank reconciliations of multiple bankaccounts
- Conductregular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy andcompleteness of financialdata
- Monitorand review general ledger accounts to ensure proper recording oftransactions
- Prepareand review journal entries debits andcredits
- Coordinateand assist with externalaudits
- Collaboratewith crossfunctional teams to provide financial analysis andsupport for businessdecisions
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Financepreferred
Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate accounting or relatedfield
Proficiency in Solomon and / or Dynamics
Strong communication skills both written andverbal
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectivelywith crossfunctionalteams
