Infant Care- Job Description
Purpose :
To provide a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

- Establish & maintain good communication with parents on a daily basis
- Observe, record & report- infants daily sheets for parents
- Attend staff / in-service meetings
- Comply with applicable universal precautions & infections control guidelines & procedures
- Interact with infants at ALL times(holding, sitting on floor, reading, singing Ect... (NOT sitting in chair and watching)
- Assure the infant is fed, diapered, and warm
- Prepare an environm
Minimum Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Exhibit sincere interest in working with infants and knowledge of infants needs
- Move quickly from crib to crib as babies needs arise
- Willing to continually increase knowledge in Child Care field
- Clean and neat appearance
- Relate to both infants and adults
- Consistent attendance
- Physical examination by a physician
- Proof of citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Background check completed
- Demonstrate the following qualities :
- Self-motivation
- follow directions
- make good judgments
- respond immediately to any emergency situation
- Physical constraints required include :
- ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without hearing aid
- ability to see / read newsprint with or without corrective lenses
- speak and be understood under normal circumstances
- lift and carry children / supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
- use of arms, hands, legs & feet with or without corrective devices to accomplish the job, including evacuation of the building during emergencies
