REMOTE - Transportation Engineer
Are you a transportation engineering professional with a background in working with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT)?
We're seeking a talented individual to join our team in a remote capacity, bringing expertise in transportation engineering and a deep understanding of IDOT procedures and standards.
Responsibilities :
- Provide technical expertise and support for transportation engineering projects, with a focus on those related to IDOT requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop transportation solutions that meet project goals and comply with IDOT regulations.
- Conduct analysis, design, and evaluation of transportation infrastructure, including roads, highways, and bridges.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and reports in accordance with IDOT standards and guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison between our organization and IDOT, representing our interests and ensuring compliance with agency requirements.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and changes in IDOT policies and procedures.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation engineering, with specific experience working with IDOT projects and procedures.
- Proficiency in transportation engineering software and tools, such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and / or Synchro.
- Strong understanding of IDOT standards, specifications, and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting, while also being a proactive team player.
