Data Systems Business Analyst - Sales Reporting

Location : On site in Memphis, TN, Raleigh, NC or New Orleans, LA

Summary The Data Systems Business Analyst (part of the Regional Banking Strategy and Delivery group) will proactively mine, structure, visualize, and analyze data in order to help us ask better questions about our business.

This role will also partner with LOB and Strategy Leaders to support strategic plans by leveraging data to help us understand current trends and performance.

This position isNOT SUITEDfor recent graduates or those who have majority of their experience in internships* This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Support strategy initiatives through data analytics; work with product, finance, treasury and marketing partners to understand the impact of changes in pricing and value proposition to client behavior and financials
• Define, monitor, and report key management metrics; implement and manage scorecards and dashboards
• Engage with stakeholders to understand diverse reporting requirements and serve as a thought leader in simplifying the execution of data management and reporting processes, as well as metrics definitions
• Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
• Present findings of data analyses and model in a clear concise way to executive management.

Requirements

Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

• 3-5+ years experience specializing as a Business Insights Analyst preferably in Sales Reporting
• Critical Thinking : Data analysts must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
• Broad understanding of the financial drivers of Consumer / Commercial Banking that support the ability to create effective KPI dashboards for executive management.
• Resourcefully, creatively, and passionately sources for process improvement solutions.
• Good understanding and experience with data warehouse, data marts, databases, analytic and reporting tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, DataRobot, SQL and Cognos.
• BS in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
